$75 Per Employee, Per Month
Flat PEO Administrative Pricing in Arizona — Subject to Provider Approval
$75 per employee per month for PEO administration, subject to provider approval. It doesn't include premiums for workers' compensation or employee benefits, the payroll itself (your employees' wages), or employer payroll taxes. Those are calculated separately and listed in your proposal. Outside Arizona, our national provider quotes its own pricing for your state.
Why should you have to request a quote just to find out what payroll administration costs? We put our PEO administrative fee right up front. One flat rate, straightforward pricing, and no guessing games.
Other providers may require a sales conversation before sharing their rates. We believe contractors deserve to know our administrative pricing before making a call.
- What it is: the flat monthly administrative fee for an approved Professional Employer Organization (PEO) arrangement.
- Same rate per employee for every approved company. No tiers by company size or payroll amount.
- Everything else in writing: any other cost that applies to your account is listed in your proposal before you agree to anything.
Looking at payroll only or standalone benefits instead? Those are priced separately. Compare the options or read the full pricing details.

Already with a PEO? Add up what you really pay
Many PEOs quote a low base fee, then add charges for each payroll run, W-2s, year-end filings, benefits administration, and software. Typical fees are filled in below. Swap in the numbers from your invoice or contract.
Grey numbers are typical fees from published payroll and PEO pricing guides (Everee, May 2026; People Managing People, September 2026). They count until you replace them, so type your own number or enter 0 for any fee you don't pay. For percent-of-payroll pricing, enter your monthly gross payroll so the fee can be figured. Setup fees count toward the first year. Don't include wages, payroll taxes, workers' comp premiums, or benefit premiums; you pay those either way.
The $110 average is the midpoint of the $100–$120 per employee per month average PEO cost reported by People Managing People (updated September 21, 2026). Fees vary by provider and by what's included. Compares administrative fees only, and the $75 rate applies to approved Arizona employers. Outside Arizona, our national provider quotes pricing for your state.

Payroll built for how contractors work
Roofing, electrical, plumbing, concrete, framing, excavation, landscaping, and general contracting crews don't clock in at one desk. Construction payroll has to handle crews that move between jobs, rates that change with the work, and reports your insurer and project owners ask for.
Standard with payroll service
- Weekly and biweekly payroll processing

Available depending on provider and arrangement
- Time tracking across jobsites

Common questions
Pricing
What does the $75 per employee cover?
It is the flat monthly administrative fee for an approved PEO arrangement: $75 per employee, per month, the same rate per employee for every approved Arizona company. Outside Arizona, our national provider quotes its own pricing. Workers' compensation coverage is typically part of a PEO arrangement, but the fee doesn't include the premium for it. It also doesn't include employee benefit premiums, wages (the payroll itself), or employer payroll taxes. Those are calculated separately and shown in your proposal.
Is every business approved for the $75 PEO rate?
Not automatically. A PEO arrangement requires approval by the provider after it reviews your business. If you're approved, the administrative fee is $75 per employee per month. If a PEO isn't the right fit, we can still talk about payroll-only services or employee benefits.
Does payroll only or a standalone benefits plan cost $75 per employee?
Not necessarily. The $75 flat rate is the PEO administrative fee. Payroll-only services and standalone benefit plans are priced separately, and you'll see that pricing in writing before you decide.
Does the quote cost anything? How is PayMyCrew paid?
The introductory call and any proposal are free, with no obligation to switch. If you become a client of a provider partner, PayMyCrew is typically compensated by that provider, not by you. The provider's service fees, including the $75 PEO administrative fee where it applies, are set out in its written proposal.
Getting started
What happens on the introductory call?
It's a free 15-minute conversation about your business, your crew, and what you need help with. The call may be with PayMyCrew or with a representative from one of our provider partners. You don't need any payroll documents to start.
When would I share payroll documents?
Only if you decide you'd like a proposal. The provider will tell you what it needs to prepare one, such as payroll reports or insurance information. Nothing like that is collected through this website.
How does switching payroll providers work?
The process depends on your current setup and the provider you choose. Before making a change, confirm who handles setup, which payroll records are needed, and the timing of your first payroll. Also clarify who handles outstanding tax filings and year-end forms. Your introductory call is a chance to discuss the transition; no payroll documents are needed for that first conversation.
Can I get payroll or benefits on their own?
Yes. You can look at payroll only, employee benefits on their own, or payroll with broader employee support through a PEO. See how the options differ.
Is my business too small?
Smaller businesses are welcome to reach out. Which arrangements are available depends on the provider and your situation, so we'll explain your options once we understand your business.
Who is PayMyCrew?
PayMyCrew is an independent sales and referral business. We don't process payroll, operate a PEO, underwrite insurance, or issue benefit policies ourselves. We work with provider partners, learn what your business needs, explain the arrangements available, and coordinate answers and proposals until you've made a decision. More about us.
Who do I contact when I need help with payroll?
PayMyCrew helps you understand your options and coordinates answers and proposals with the provider while you decide. Before you sign up, confirm who will handle your ongoing payroll questions, how to reach them, and how urgent issues are escalated. Your day-to-day support arrangement depends on the provider and service you choose. For what to ask about mistakes, tax notices, and who does which payroll tasks, see payroll options.
What fees should I ask about before choosing a payroll service?
Ask for a written breakdown of what is included and what could cost extra. Items to confirm include setup, recurring charges, per-employee fees, additional payroll runs, year-end forms, and cancellation terms. For the full list of cost items and other questions to ask, see our guide to choosing a construction payroll service.
Arizona employer basics
General information, not legal or tax advice. Figures checked October 2026; most change each January. For the full process, see how to do construction payroll.
What is Arizona's minimum wage in 2026?
Arizona's statewide minimum wage is $15.15 an hour as of January 1, 2026. Flagstaff ($18.35) and Tucson ($15.45) set higher local rates. Rates are adjusted each January, so check the Industrial Commission of Arizona and the City of Tucson for current figures.
Do Arizona employers have to provide paid sick time?
Yes. Employees earn at least one hour of paid sick time for every 30 hours worked. Employers with 15 or more employees must allow up to 40 hours a year, and smaller employers up to 24 hours, unless they choose a higher limit. See A.R.S. § 23-372.
What is Arizona's unemployment tax rate for a new employer?
For 2026, the Arizona Department of Economic Security lists a new employer rate of 2.0% on the first $8,000 of each employee's wages. Established employers receive their own assigned rate. See Arizona DES.
Do I need workers' compensation insurance in Arizona?
In general, Arizona employers with workers regularly employed in their business must carry workers' compensation coverage, with limited exceptions. See A.R.S. § 23-902 and confirm your situation with your insurer or the Industrial Commission of Arizona. A PEO arrangement typically includes workers' compensation coverage under the provider's policy, with the premium billed separately from the administrative fee.
When is certified payroll required?
Certified payroll usually comes up on federally funded or assisted public construction projects covered by the Davis-Bacon Act and related laws, and on subcontracts under them. Your contract documents say whether it applies. Learn what certified payroll is and what to ask a provider.
Do you work with contractors outside Arizona?
Yes. Along with our Arizona provider partners, we work with a national PEO provider that writes construction accounts in other states. Pricing outside Arizona is quoted by that provider for your state and crew, so you'll see it in writing before you decide. Choose your state on the quote form to get started.
Do you work with employers in my part of Arizona?
Yes. We work with construction employers across Arizona, including Phoenix, Tucson, Mesa, Chandler, Scottsdale, Gilbert, Glendale, Tempe, Peoria, and Flagstaff. See our local pages for Phoenix, the East Valley, the West Valley, Tucson, and Flagstaff.
